Earlier this year Vane Brothers sent several dozen of their mariners to MITAGS facilities on both coasts for our Bridge Resource Management Refresher course.
This course explored several topics including situational awareness, the role of the towboat operator, voyage planning procedures, and working within a “Culture of Safety.” Each three-day BRM training session included classroom-based case-study analysis, as well as time spent on our simulators.
Check out this great article (with pictures) of their experience (starting at page six) at MITAGS as featured in Vane Brothers’ Pipeline magazine!
Thanks again to Vane Brothers for training with us!
